Video Contest
Fish-Eye Photo will organize a digital photo and video contest during all four weeks in July.
Contest participation is free for all DSC participants.
First, second and third place winners will be announced each Friday of the week.
Grand prize winners to be announced on the Fish-Eye Photo web site in 1st week of August.
Contestants
The digital video contest is open to everyone, novice to expert.
All digital video camera systems will be allowed.
Contestants are asked to submit a movie clip no more than 5 minutes in length from 1 dive
in the week of participation.
Video editing is allowed, therefore we recommend that contestants bring their own laptops
with video editing software.
Fish-Eye Photo will have a dedicated video editing PC available for
those contestants who are unable to provide their own.
(video camera must have a Fire Wire ieee1394 output in order to be compatible)
Rules
All activities must conform to the Stinapa (Marine Park) regulations with respect to any
form of plant and animal life!
Non DSC contestants must fill out a contest
participation form available at Fish-Eye Photo.
All contestants can start filming as soon as they signed up for the contest.
Time span is only 1 week between Sunday 2 pm to Friday 12 pm.
Videos must be submitted digitally at Fish-Eye Photo on DVD, Mini DV tape,
or can be downloaded on the store computer through Fire Wire.
A $15 entry fee per video will be submitted for non DSC contestants.
A maximum of 1 movie clip no more than 5 minutes in length can be submitted per contestant.
The adding of video scenes from other than the dive portrayed in the video clip
is not allowed and will result in disqualification.
Judging Criteria
Camera technique, content and story telling.
“A video clip I can show my neighbor without him falling asleep”
Editing enhancements will not be taken into consideration, although is encouraged to create
a more pleasant viewing experience.
Usage Rights
All ownership and copyrights are retained by the videographer.
By submitting video clips, you understand and agree that winning clips
can be used by Fish-Eye Photo in announcements of winners and to promote
future DSC competitions online. Recognition will be given to the videographer.
